Next on my walk, I nearly passed by "Chocolates by Maxine", an annex to a restaurant which produces exquisite confections. The lovely Indonesian girl manning the shop was bored (she told me so) and wanted to chat. She also forced upon me a few tastes of the shops specialities. This first picture is a tiny tart with a sesame seed crust with some yummy, but very sticky filling and pine nut petals around a tiny icing flower bud. It was as delicious as it was beautiful. I tried a savory short bread and another sweet and when I wouldn't eat another, she insisted that I take it to my husband. He loved it, too.
