I snapped on my telephoto lens and was going to hunt birds. Leslie saw this one and pointed me in its direction. This is the clearest picture. With the low light and amateur lens, the bird moved its head too quickly to get a clear shot. It is crested, the top feathers spread out and have the same black and white stripes.

The second picture is of the Emerit Towers' fountain. Again not a bad shot considering the lighting conditions. Leslie snapped this one.

The is the Al Qusr hotel we saw this on our driving tour on the first evening. All of the rooms are situated below the main driveway and entry. They are along a small man-made lake.

The boulevard driveway up to the hotel has gold colored statues dedicated to the Arabian Horse. Note to sister: You might consider painting golden horses with green palms and you might want to consider marketing to this area. There is quite a bit of wealth and interest in art.
